World Peace Day

Join us for a celebration of International World Peace Day, hosted by Pax Christi. The speaker this year is Judy Coode, the Director of Communications for Pax Christi USA.

Judy has been involved with Pax Christi since the early 1990s, serving in various capacities. In 2016, she started working with Pax Christi International, specifically on the Catholic Nonviolence Initiative, and helped organize the three nonviolence conferences that were held in collaboration with the Vatican, in 2016, 2019, and 2022. She authored Pax Christi USA's 2010 Advent booklet, and co-edited a series of scripture reflection books written by Maryknoll missioners. Judy has been able to travel around the world, including to Cuba, Haiti, Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Panama, Peru, Chile, Bolivia, Venezuela, South Africa, Palestine, and Japan, plus lots of visits to Brussels and Rome. In her free time, she volunteers with the ESL program at Sacred Heart, her neighborhood parish, does cross-stitch, and tries to get to yoga class. She grew up in Nashville TN, part of a large family, and she visits there several times a year to see her siblings and her 50+ nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
